ok, i have a track recorded in a sequence and i resampled it onto a pad so i can export it as a .wav file to my computer, and i went to the record mode and recorded it to my CF but the first two takes didnt sound right so i edited them and recored a third and halfway thought the third song, the device stops recording and when i try and re record it it says insufficent memory. i think its the 128 mb internal thing thats full, but i went to my samples and deleted the songs that i put on them and it still says the same thing and the record mode has an option that says free and it says 0m 0sec. and when i try and reord it says insufficent memory, so i deleted a bunch of stuff off the CF card but it still says that.

how can i get the record button to have time left on it again?????

i took the card out and tried to delete the stock sounds and sequences on the device when i click delete nothing happens like it does when the cf card is in the drive!

im really frustrated and any help would be GREATLY aprecciated!!!!

yesterday i recorded the track and it got delted so i had to start again today! and now this!!!!!

it has nothing to do with deleting the files on your CF card... it all depends on your RAM.

oh man......... i already tried that lol. i tired pretty much everything i could (i think) except if it looked like it would delete my samples and song..

is there a way i can read the RAM on my computer like you can read the CF card? then i could go in there and delete the stock seqences and sounds and pull that awesome clap off it lol.

In Program (i think) there is an option to delete unused samples. Probably, the reccordings that didn't turn out good is still in memory. Make sure no pad is assigned to the old, bad, recordings, and then choose "delete unused samples". Shouldn't mess anything up, and if it does, you can always just reload your project (you saved the entire project, right??)

Try going to MODE then Program and scroll all the way to end and click the doit on delete unused samples...That might work when you run out of ram...any samples that's not assigned to a track you can delete them from the ram.......The 128 Ram is a night and day difference tho......Why didn't AKAI put that in when they put this MPC500 in production??? i wanna kick the managers ass who decided to leave 16 megs of Ram.....

Well, my anger is relieved...I hope this helped..
