Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Hi,

I noticed a bug on my MPC500 O.S. 1.13, when I save a Project type file with more than 128 samples there is no problem but when I load it back in the MPC500 it only loads the first 128 samples.

Are you having this problem too?

PS: I sent an email to [email protected] to look into it.

Yup! That is annoying!

Is it supposed to do this, or will there be another mass mailing to Akai? :lol:

While you're at it, include a feature request for something similar to this;
http://mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=76349

If they were to implement that, chopping would be made a whole lot easier!

So far I only had replies from Akai about the bugs I found, no response on my suggestions for new O.S. features :cry:

I don't use drum loops much, but so far I found the "play from" and "play to" buttons to work really well in trim mode.

Also I figure Akai isn't very keen on implementing to many new features in the cheapest MPC of the bunch, so I focus on getting them to fix the O.S.

PS: Could you please check if you have the problem I described in my first post?

Agreed, everytime I've mailed them with a feature suggestion they've replied with something like "thanks for the suggestion", hopefully they keep track of them and evaluate them :wink:.

I'll do so ASAP, I'm rearranging my setup, so almost nothing is plugged in.

Sorry for being a little off-topic.
