Problems with RAM card!

I just bought a brand new RAM card for my MPC500 and installed it and halfway through it's SODIMM test, a screen pops up saying "memory problem Check the memory"..
this is what I installed:
256MB SDRAM PC133 SO-DIMM
32MX8 QIMONDA CL3

Any ideas or suggetions?

Isn't 128mb maxed?

on another thread someone wrote "since 128mb are hard to find you can use a 256mb but it will only read as 128"
