Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

hey.

i have just brought my first MPC. a lovely little 500.
can any one help sync it with my software sequencers??

im running Cubase SE and Reason 3. i understand the idea of master and slave within MIDI and im keen to explore as many options as poss.

cant wait.. so any help would be just loverly. :)

If you want the mpc to be the master, you have to make shure that it is on "master" in midi/sync ("mode" "pad7").

cheers for the reply. i have tried that. however Cubase isnt reading it? not even a level or signal of any kind. Ive read both manuals and done both the master and slave options. Is there some nice and easy button/option that im missing? or is that wishfull thinking? should be nice and easy though shouldnt it? any help again would be apreciated. ta :D

I do not know anything about cubase. But in reason you have til check the midi slave box to the left of the play button. Have you checkd that the midi cable is conected right ;-)

cheers, im at work today, but i'll give that a whirl. if i can get the midi to sync in Reason thats surly have the battle won. :)
