Ratio of good mpc500s to buggy mpc500s?

What's the ratio of people on the forums that have good experiences with their mpc500 and people who have all these bugs so their mpc is basically useless?

I just want to know because I might buy a new mpc500 off of ebay from a reputable dealer so I just want to know what my chances are of getting a crappy mpc.

I think that the hardware on the "newer" mpc has been fixed. It was what the seller told me when i turned my old one in, now i don't have any problems at all. If it's made after july, there shouldn't be any hardware bugs. So i have been told. Good luck!

Has this been confirmed with akai that the hardware was changed?
If so, what should those of us with the faulty units do?
