Can you do midi program changes on the mpc 500's seq ?

I'm new to midi so is that the correct terminology ?

Can I program a synth to change it's patch in an mpc sequence ?

Yes you can. In step edit mode you can "insert" CC: xx xx . Then you look in the manual for the synthesizer, i am shure that if the synth can be controlled by external midi, the intire CC class diagram wold be in there somwhere.

Thanks peeps. I haven't bought an mpc yet, I had a 2000xl a while back but wasn't using external midi.

I guess I could of just downloaded the manual, but it seemed a bit of a waste of time as I wasn't sure whether I was getting one, and all I wanted was a yes or no, not a 'how to'
