chopping

yeah so ive been sampling in my daw but im havin trouble chopping them up throughout the pads on the mpc500...anyone wanna give me some tips?

of course with the EXTRACT feature on the TRIM MODE.. but then again.. you should have a simple program like soundforge on your computer and when you get a sample.. just chop it up from there and just load each indivdual part to your mpc 500.. that's a nice easy precise way to do it as well.
