know this error's been mentioned by a couple people, but mine's actually doing this during the autoload at startup. it's because i've screwed things up deleting files via USB. anyone know how to get around this? fine with me if i have to completely reset this thing, though the factory default initialization by holding erase/undo during startup doesn't work either.

any suggestions?

use an external cf card reader to format the cf card..then..put it back in the mpc...reset, and use the utility on the mpc to format the card again...

It might be a wav file on the CF card that has an filename larger than 10 characters.

try to rename the file on your computer.

Formating the whole card might cause loss of your beats/projects.

Good Luck!
