Chopping samples on MPC 500

I have question: can i slice samples no mpc 500 like i can on mpc 1000?

if you mean trim yeah, you can do that. in the manual it talks about trimming a sample from the beginning or cutting the ending out, its relatively easy. just hit mode, then trim and scroll with the data wheel to choose what you want cut out.
