hi!!!
I'm a new mpc 500 user and I know that it can't chop samples so I use recycle and export in akai program format .akp
but when I try to load it with the 500 it says that is an unknown file format.
why?

if I export only in wave format is there a way to load for example 6 sample in 6 pads quickly instead of load and assign to pad 1 at time?

Sorry for the english but I'm Italian :)

Yeah the reason you get the unknown file format is because, like you said, it needs to be in wav. format.

What I do when i export files from recycle, is i save them all to a folder so that i can load the whole folder at once and then assign them to the pads.

You can make programs on your pc using bluebox, a free program. Do a search on google to find it and install it. Its based on the 1000 so there will be 16 pads but only use 1 to 12 and you'll be cool.

This is exactly what you should do. :D
