WOW! This thing is ILL!!!

So, after 8 years of production using STRICTLY my MPC 2000XL, I decided it was time to get another MPC. I still own my XL and it is my beat machine for home use....But I copped an MPC 500 about 2 weeks ago, and I LOVE THIS THING!!! It has brought that newness back into my life in terms of production....

I am loving having to learn all these new things on it. Alot of people have been deturred by the lack of a visual wav in TRIM, but my 2000XL had no screen for almost 2 solid years, and I made SOME OF THE BEST PRODUCTIONS I'VE MADE during that time....So, not having a visual wav is fine by me....It actually makes you have to use your ears a bit more...

Anyways, just wnated to let everyone know that I've joined the 500 family now....And I'm happy to have it....

Ha ha... Way to go man. I'm happy to read that someone agrees with the fact that the lack of waveform visualisation on the MPC 500 "makes you have to use your ears a bit more". I keep repeating that since I got my MPC 500.

can someone give me some info on the mpc 500 cuz they seem pretty cool...and are highly on my list of things to buy within the next few weeks lol

It's worth the price IMO, it's more musical/fun than laptop work, you can make phat beats on it no probz, you can freak executives out on the train with your ecentric pad performances... search the threads if you need 'info', you're in the right place!

Oh, I forgot to mention that I got it at Guitar Center...And I got it out the door for $508.... It was on the shelf at $599... But I told the guy I'd only do it for $500. He then said $508...And I wasn't about to haggle over 8 bucks...

^haha nice one bro...im reli enthusiatic to gettin one...i dont mind about trimmiing by ear (i think ive done that on the mpc 3000 ages ago when you use numbers like in seconds - someone tell me if thats the case)...and also it real portable
