A Quick Question Concerning A Midi Track On The Mpc500

Ok I Was Laying Down A Midi Note Within My Sequence On The Mpc500... The First Note Went Rather Well, But When I Went To Lay A Different Midi Note Things Kind Of Got Crazy.... "Let Me Explain"


I Laid My Kick On Track 1, My Snare On Track 2, And The HiHat On Track 3... Just To Test Things Out... So I Went To Make A New Track For Midi Notes Which Was Track 4... I Switched Track Type From Drums To Midi And Laid It Down With Know Problems... Listened To The 4 Bar Sequence, Sounded Cool..

I Wanted To Add More Midi Notes, So I Named Another Track Midi 2, And Proceeded To Do Exactly What I Stated Above, But It Wouldnt Add The New Sound, It Kept Changing The Old Midi Sound That I Laid Down, As I Was Spinning My Dial On My Sound Module Looking For A New Sound....


(Before I Forget:) I Had The First Midi Note On Track A4, Midi Channel 1...
So For The Second I Had It On Track A5 Midi Channel 2

And It Still Kept Switching The Midi Note...

P.S. I Was Using A M-Audio Keystation 49e To Add Notes..
And I Was Using My Roland Mc-808 As My Sound Module...

F.Y.I. The Roland Mc808 Had Great Sounds Built In....

Is the mc808 multitimbral? You need to set your mpc tracks to separate midi channels and (if your module is multitimbral) set the channels to correspond on the mc808. If it isn't multitimbral then best record audio into your mpc for one of the parts.

Yes Its Multi Timbral... I Think I Know What The Problem Was... I Might Need To Turn Remote KeyBoard Switch Off In The Mc808.... So Im Doing That Now To See If It Works...
