if you turn your mpc around and take the back battery cover off, youll see the the memory chip and the battery slots. but there is also a small white port back there. it sorta looks lik a SCSI port.

What the fvck is that?

I ended up calling akai about that and i spoke to 3 different guys from customer service, tech support, and some other crazy technical department (He was some scientist type dude). anyway all 3 guys knew that it was there but spoke very vaguely about it.acking as if they knew nothing about it. the 3rd guys (The scientist) told me that it was for testing purposes in case anyone has a broken akai. but the word that caught myattention was
"Or Something" - he said "it may be a test port or something"

akai is full of tricks and they always have something up their sleeve. but i promise you, i got a japanese homeboy who is a computer wizzard (He even walks around in a wizard costume - true story). i'm gonna bring it to him to see if he can identify that port with a name and see what type of pieces of equipment can be hooked up to it.

i personally think that its some type of upgrade shit that akai doesn't want to release yet. but i'll find out and post.it may take some time but i'll be back.
so hold the fort yall! i'll be back.
