Can you now select tracks with numeric key plus pad?

Hi every one, Can some one please tell me if the bug where holding down the numeric key, and typing in the number of the track you want to go to using the pads on the mpc500 was not working is now fixed? Also, Can some one please tell me the following about the mpc1000? Is the dial on the 1000 exactly the same as the one used on the 500? I am visually impaired, and as a result, I find it a bit hard navigating the 500 with the dial. Is the dial on the 1000 more stable, and has a more reasuring click when moving from parameter to parameter? Also, are there increment and decrement buttons on the 1000 that I can use instead of the dial to navigate from parameter to parameter, and to also change the value of the selected parameter?
