Fixing a button?!?!?

So I was working with this friend of mine and we were recording a breakdown, anyway hes a drummer and we were using the "note repeat" button to record some hihats rolling very fast and this **** being a drummer hit the button so damn hard that now its just stuck inside the machine, and even if i try to pry it out with a flathead screwdriver, the rubber button comes out but the actual button inside stays stuck in there. What do i do? I tried takin the screws out to take the top piece off but this did not work either. Let me know. Hes definitely not touching my MP again.

It sounds like you have to get another button or switch.
