MPC500 teamed up with DPS24

Hi Everyone,
I own 2 DPS24 Machines mainly for live work, they act as a sampler as well as live stage mix, also Live recording.
When not on the road gigging, I do some home recording with my Deeps.
My two Deep's I will never ever part with, they are robust and can handle any treacherous punishment that's been dished out to them and they survived, even though they look a bit rough around the edges because of road use.

I'm basically from the old school of recording and have never worked in a midi environment. I was wondering if anyone can help me out into deciding which MPC box I should marry my DPS 24's to.
I basically need something like the MPC to quickly lay-down song ideas with the minimum of fuss, laying down drum patterns etc and generally use the MPC as a work in progress tool. once I have all my ideas down on the MPC I will then record the MPC into multiple channels into the the DPS 24 for the serious stuff, like Laying down guitars, Vocals, Bass etc.etc.

I've read reviews on the MPC5000 but for me this box is overkill as my DPS24 can do most of the stuff anyway.

So if anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear from you.

You'll probably want to look into the 1000 or 2500. The 1000 has 4 outputs and the 2500 has 8 outputs, while the 500 only has stereo outputs and a headphone out. The 500 is a great machine, but with it's lack of outputs it probably won't serve your needs.
