No I don't believe there's any ADSR on the 500. Just AD.

You would need at least a 1000 w/JJOS2 for that. Akai or JJOS1 for the 1000 is also just AD.

Thanks elektrik_muz i appreciate that feedback now i know i have to edit samples in a program instead of on the mp if i want specific sounding multilayers. and for those idiots above u lol jus j/k what i was sayin was if i could use attack decay sustain and release on every layered sample idividually.say if i wanted to layer 4 drums on 1 pad can i mess wit the adsr to have more controllover my layers and samples.

I sure could use an envelope and an LFO on this machine.

I think both features were mentioned in one of those long wish list posts.

There is A and D on the MPC500 (attack and decay), but only for the amplifier (volume) and it's per pad and not per layer.

An LFO would indeed be nice as would filter A and D :)

There's also "release" if you turn the decay to start after release of the button ;-)
