who did you contact at Akai to get it fixed?

Mine is still in this condition.

There is another funny chapter to this sad story by now. After aproximately 1 1/2 month of waiting for my beloved baby I called the store and they told me that Akai had it fixed it.
The guy from the store hadn't looked in the box beforehand when I got there and opon opening we found out that the MPC had been left untouched. They didn't do jack during that time! It's really unbelievable.
Only good thing about this is, that it looks like I'm getting a brand new one and hopefully this has the stronger MPC 1000 slot (If that's not only a myth).

Myth.. well, how about sharing some photos of these mythycal plastic clips?

Are these more 1k/25k or cheap china plastic?

Those look like the fragile eggshell ones, but it is kinda hard to tell from the photo. Did you already install dhe extension at some point?
