possible 2 separate stereo to L/R mono in resampling mode?

is it possible 2 separate stereo to L/R mono in resampling mode?

wile just setting the reampleing to L or R ? is this possible?

not home right now but I wondering if this might be possible....

Place the sample on a pad and turn the pan all the way to the left. Then go into record and choose main out. Set it to mono and sample the pad. Now turn it all the way to the right and do the same.
