question about converting my song to wav.

i just bought the mpc500 and i'm happy with it, im loving it. I've read through alot of the posts here and read the replies and all that...this forum can teach me how to use the mpc quicker than the manual,lol.
my question is how would i go about converting my tracks/sequences/song to wav?

i have cool edit, so i dont need audacity but can someone run me through the process of saving my tracks/sequences/song into a wav on the mpc? i just need this bit of information. keep in mind that im new to the mpc world and i just bought it 2 days ago, i have been reading through the manual. maybe i'm just passing it by..
Thank You guys soo much for helping..even though this is the first question i've posted, i have already answered alot of my own just by reading other peoples questions and your responses.

When you go to the record mode, there is a "record in" setting, and it alows you to record what ever it is your playing on your mpc as a sample, so you go load your sequence, you go to record mode and find record in, then you press play. the problem with doing things this way is chances are unless you have upgraded your ram you will run out of room real quick. what i do when i want to turn sequences into samples is just record it onto my computer, master it add eq, turn it to a wav file then put it back onto my mpc, it takes alot longer and is more tedious, but unless you have extra ram there is no way to get around it.

i have tried that but when i play it back, the volume is lower and i can barely hear it. i have the 128mb memory card.
would you know why it's recording with low volume? i set master volume to 0. it was originally at -12 i believe..

Thank you both, Lampdog and jdavidson... i really really appreciate your replies..and Lampdog,i simply missed it on page 64, so i went back and read it,thank you for guiding me i have figured it out because of you..i would have been searching through that manual for days with a headache if you havent told me where to look. what i was doing wrong is, i wasn't changing the Record: In to Record: Main Out
but now..for some reason it's only playing one sequence when i record, and that is my first sequence. I've already went to song mode and had the sequences playing out how i wanted them..
I know i can just sample each sequence save them as wav. files and put them together in cool edit pro..BUT i'd like to know how to record my entire 'song' on the mpc.
just alittle more help on this, please.
i know i'm a noob but remember, i've only had this for a few days now and I'm completely new to having an mpc.

I am trying to do the record in thing too to turn my sequence into a .wav file, and for some reason it says I only have 8 seconds free. But I have my flash card in, and I barely have anything loaded onto it. Anybody know how I can free up some room, or WHY it says there is only 8 seconds?

(sorry, I can't find anything about it in the manual),
I deleted some stuff and made room to record, and now when I record each sequence individually, and save it as a wav, when I play it on the computer its just silent.

if you can plug phones into it, and hear it, but you cannot hear it on the computer, its more then likely not something the mpc is doing.

also about the free space, the sounds you can play are stored on the ram, not the flash card. so any sounds you save, i;e new samples or sequences into .wav. whatever it might be is stored on the ram. so untill you upgrade the ram you will only have a small amount of space available. but what does help is getting rid of the original sounds on the mpc. search around on this forum and there is how to's on doing this, it is simple.

might i suggest the mpc500 tutorial book?
if you have the fourty dollars i suggest getting it.

ok thanks. now i'm having another problem.
its weird, whats happening is im converting my sequence into a .mid, and then uploading it. when i play it, i hear all of these weird drum sounds. am i doing something wrong?
all i'm trying to do is upload my finished product onto the computer so i can work with it.

you cant upload a sequence through usb. you have to record it onto the computer, if you align your hole song on the song mode then record it all onto the computer you can work with it.
