MPC 500 beat sampler (by me)

Just a quick mix of some beats I made on my 500, for all of the doubters and appreciators of the 500.

All sounds were gathered by sampling (vinyl, mp3) or instruments played by me (bass, fender rhodes, guitar? (can't remember), and live drums recorded with a mic)
Bottom line is - no "kits", computers or even a midi keyboard were used on these beats. Mackie 12ch mixer with turntable and instruments running through it running to MPC 500, period.

The tracks are cut short (usually at the good part) to protect them. If you're a good MC, producer, or DJ - holla at me, I will work with anybody I like without involving any money. And I have better beats than the ones on here just waiting for someone to rip them.

dope 2min sampler. thick analog sound. really puts to rest the 'mpc500 is a toy' argument.

Nice one! Enjoyed all of them. If anything, a few of the mixes could do with a bit of work.

negative criticism is always welcomed, I'm still new to production and I know my monitors aren't great so I know I can change my sound for the better. I agree that I should spend more time mixing. That's the bad thing about finishing your beats strictly on the MPC 500, there's limited mixing options. Enough for sure, but there could be more.
