Akai Pro/ Numark is not that big, just a couple of kids with Down Syndrome at a warehouse in Cumberland.
If what you say is true, wouldn't it make sense to redirect those domains to akaipro.com instead of the default server page.
They registered mpc500 and mpc3500 in April, even they should've been able to fix that by now.
Besides that, they don't even own http://www.mpc2500.com

I do tech support for one of the biggest ISP in the U.S. and what your saying could be true but if that was the case those records would not be empty. They would be pointed to whatever domain one would think it should goto in the event you fatfingered the address. that only take moments to do literally I do it all the time. In retrospect i think that they are actually or possibly will be making these machines which I think if it is true that they should concentrate on the machines that are out now with all the bugs and 3rd party O.S. developer(s) thatare out. i mean Damn can you handle our shyt first? these machines still have issues

It would be nice but i wouldnt hold my hopes up! There are still issues with the 4000 and both the 1000 and 2500 have been released since then

Akai should definitely release a final O.S. for the 4000, before dropping a new MPC, possibly pair the new O.S. with a special edition 4000, or just a 4000 painted black. Then they'd pocket enough $$$ to warrant putting in that work, apart from the fact they owe it to 4k users.

As far as the 500...

MPC500 doesnt flow.. MPC3500/2500 even less

MPC1600 would be sweet! MPC50 is neat as well

1) Only big companies normally register mispelled domain names.
2) It would then forward you to their real homepage.
3) mpc1500.com is not registered and the 1 is also right next to the 2

But again, it's all pure speculation... We'll find out soon...

Agreed! If they would build the OS2.x for the MPC4k and
make an updated version (e.g. a black MPC4000xl),
they would cash in for sure and it would buy them some time
to test & bugfix any new product before releasing it.

mpc3500 = mpc2500 with full featured sampler (synthengine/keygroups) and digital I/O

yuup you're right

I've been saying for awhile that they would release an MPC500...to compete with the Roland SP-404/ SP-606...it just makes sense. I also said it would be battery powered...but...I guess we have to wait and see. NAMM is coming.

There will be a new mpc call "The MPC Millennial Series"!

After that the JJ1000 series will be released by the new "Akaipro haters club".
