500 to 2000xl? Akai says "no".

so if I would use 1 card then I probably need to format the card 2 times?

one time in the pc, after copying the mpc2kxl files and then formating the card before copying them to the 500? Would that work?

I've got two falsh cards, one mpc2kxl flash card. but majority of those files has names exceeding the 8 caracter limit so I dont dare to load that card in the pc. and one card in the mpc 500.

Maybe I should get a third card before Im able to transfer the files...

is it possible to load the mpc2kxl sequences in the 500?

yo I managed to load a midi sequence and a program directly from the mpc2kxl into the 500.

it's a shame the decay settings are lost in the transfer, my drums sounded horrible

What I did was just formating the mpc500's flash card in the mpc2kxl.
and the mpc 500 reads the disc with out any problems!
