hows 12 pads making drums?

Thanks for all the help and advice guys. I think I'm starting to picture how the tracks are used now. I'm just going slow at the moment because I'm waiting on a few more pieces in the mail like some studio phones and a new CF. But you've all really got my mind made up to get this figured out and let the machine do the things that it can do.
