All I really need is the chop-shop feature and the function to set a track for each pad - THEN I'M HAPPY!
When the 500 came out everyone said "that's the perfect thing for mobile producing" (that was one of the reasons why I bought it)..but what when you found a great sample and want to chop it ? manual chopping? I mean.. when I'm on the road i don't have the time to chop it manually! And also I haven't got a notebook or something to chop on it(when I'm on the road).
And now the second problem.. we assume that we allready made a Song on the mpc and want to record in cubase or something to mix it down... so we have to record each track. (it's a bit circular but it's ok..) The problem is I usually record the kick and the snare at the same time (it records it on the same track)
and if you want to mix each drum apart that will be a problem!
I think the best solution for this would be a function to set a track for each pad.. (or is this already possible?) so when u record u can mute (as usual) the tracks/pads that u don't want to record..
So a new OS like the JJ OS or an update from Akai would be great!
(excuse my bad english
