I have a friend who has a custom woodwork shop. I am going to ask him to build me a couple of different sides in different exotic wood types.

yea I've seen mpc's sell for more on eBay just for having custom jobs done on em... I used to be a powerseller on eBay so I'd see that quite often, mostly the mpc 1000 models.

Wood would be definitely be a + come time to sell (if done right)

Just letting everyone know that I working on wood sides. But its alot of work than I thought.

I would love wood sides to match my microkorg.

I'm going to see if my friend would be willing to make a batch of them for me. He's got access to over $100,000 worth of woodworking equipment. He won't do it for free, but he won't ask for a profit either.

It might be that it costs nearly as much to do a single set as it does to do multiple sets. I'll let you know how cheap I can get em for and see if anyone else here is interested.

id like to see a set of wood sides when u have the completely done^^

ok so its been 2 days since i dyed my pads and since then ive noticed one thing that i forgot to do,,,i ran them under water after dying to get all the excess dye off of them and re-installed them but for the last 2 days my fingers keep turning purple(black dye) and i know for a fact that dye wont leak from the pores once absorbed,,so i got to inspecting them and i removed them from the 500 and noticed,even though i rinsed them "very" thouroughly they still had dye residue left on them,,,so i busted out the sponge and some soap and water and turned the sponge blue by the time i was done,,lol,,,and didnt loose a bit of color if ur wondering,,,,,and ive been playing with them all morning and no more purplefinger,,so be sure to wash with soap and water afterwards,,ok just some fyi

I am interested in buying wooden sidepanels, am no carpenter myself and it would look good next to my 60 with wooden sidepanels

im painting sum of my buttons now, i'll post some pictures when im done..

yo, sonseelye, how many coats of clear do yo spray?? how long do you let it dry??

i go anywhere from 3 coats to 8 coats,,it all depends on how much i want them to shine.

im gonna post pics of my 2500 tommorrow,,wait till you see what i did with that!!
