I would like to see a feature where if you put in rechargable batteries the Mpc will chage them automatically when plugged to ac.

Doubt that is possible with an OS update, unless they designed it originally to do so.

a keyboard connection thru that usb port, not a musical keyboard, but like a pc keyboard, to fasten the workflow like entering names, changing values etc. I think that would be faster than searching all the pads for the right letter, and yes you can get used to it, but a normal keyboard is more practical. why not, the 3000 can be connected to a vga screen right?

louder output volume (without having volume knob to max/samples normalized and nearly to level 100/ and master dB to 0)

So far for me, the biggest things would be:

- increased output volume. I can compensate here and there, but at max, it still is pretty quiet.

- marquee scrolling for filenames and directories.

- a 4 pole low-pass filter with LFO in the master effects section. Not essential, but it'd be handy.

- increased resonance on the filters. At 100, personally I think it should be close to screaming.

- increased delay feedback. I'm guessing they've curbed at around 95%. Be nice if it could closer to uncontrolled.

- smoother delay times, the increments when set at short times for a comb filter effect need to be more flexible, so you can get more tones out of it.

- increase velocity curve sensitivity. Right now, the curve adjustments do very little. At max, they should be really easy to get high velocity without having to really hit the pads so hard. Actually come to thin of it, Akai seems to have issues with maximum really performing like maximum should on the 500. No idea why.

The biggest one for sure is an option for marquee scrolling. Really irritating when you have to load a sample with a long filneame on faith alone.

Hmm.. I don't know if this could be possible.. but a new Display, something like a small lcd for the 500 would be nice! :) I know Akai wouldn't do that but maybe somone else.. And than a new JJ OS for the 500 that can display waveforms..damn! *dream*
