assign different program problems

load both programs first (of course) then press track and choose a track, then press params, press the pad you want to use, and choose one of the programs under "program assign". Press track again, choose a different track and press params and press the other pad you want to use and select the other program.

You have mixed up sample assignment and program assignment. Pad banks are part of a program, so it is not possible to assign a program to a pad bank. You assign samples to a pad bank inside a program, right?

Now, programs can be assigned to tracks inside a sequence. Phono described the process above.
