Syncing 500 And motif

I Have A Mpc 500 And A Yamaha Motif Es6. I Want to know if it is possible to use motif sounds on the 500. or vice verca. basically i want to track everything through the mpc

Sure, it is possible. You can record parts into MPC's sequencer and use your Motif as a sound module. First, connect Motif's MIDI OUT to MPC's MIDI IN and record parts. Then connect MPC's MIDI OUT to Motif's MIDI IN and you will be able to play these parts back. Make sure to insert respective Program Change events in the beginning of each sequencer track. Program Change numbers should correspond to the sounds (patch numbers) in Motif.
