Question About Chopping Samples and Loading 2 MPC

Hey guys.

I am wondering is there a specific way to chop samples on per say Fruity loops and load them to the MPC500? I did that yesterday and some of the samples i chopped didnt load on the MPC.. it told me "unknown file" once i tried assigining them to a PAD. Please let me know if anyone else had this problem or how i can resolve it.

Thats because with fl it saves your sample in fl format. Best thing to do is chop a sound and export it as a wav file. At work right now if this doesn't solve your problem i def got you when i get home. Check for Escrooge! What I normally do is say you got a sample you want to use, chop it with fl slicer, the (poormans asr-10), then save it as a wav file, then make a new folder on your desktop, call it mpc samples or whatever, then move the folder over to your mpc with the usb, and there u go! Also make sure your samples are not to many mb's.

Thanks for the tip, I actually did save the files as WAV format. The problem was that i wasnt saving it at a sample rate of 44.1 Khz and the bitrate had to be set to 16 in order for the MPC to recognize it. Thanks for your help though how long have u been messing with the MPC??
