is there a way to save ONLY the samples/seq/pgm used?

k i recently bought my first mpc. ive used studio gear for years( as i look at my old dusty s950 lol) but evry time i save " entire memory project" it resaves EVERY sample again into the new folder. can any1 help ?
the way im doin it now is making an empty folder on the comp.then loading it and clearin all samps.
