Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Hey everyone,

So I ran into a minor problem while trying to load my saved sequences onto my PC via USB. If the sequences are saved as files specifically for the MPC, then my computer can't read them. But with the other option (I forget the name of the file type) the computer will play a completely different and mixed up audio track.

I hope you guys know what I'm talking about, and any help is appreciated. Also, if this information is in the manual then just let me know and ill try harder to find it. Thanks!

This process is more involved than you think.

.MID will playback data not audio. Use your "record main out" feature to record your beat and save it on cf card. Import that saved file to pc and playback in windows media player.

Check your manual.

yah, sometimes it feels like lots of things on the mpc are more involved than you think

I saved some sequences i made using samples onto the cf card that came with the mpc. then, i turned off my mpc and when i turned it back on to load the sequences, only the internal sounds would play and the samples, no longer being loaded, were absent.

this shit is so frustrating sometimes!

Edit: sorry bout that, i was just ranting. its all good, im working this out lol.

The manual will tell you exactly what files to save and what is contained in those files.
individual saves and save entire memory type stuff.
