er sequencer. so I'd be putting the 500 in mute mode and sequence the button presses to another sequencer?

Is it possible to sequence the Mpc 500 in mute mode... the answer is NO ... email akai and ask for it as a option in the next update
As for setting mutes via 500 to another sequencer...I doubt it
