Hello, I was wandering if anyone's had any luck recording a guitar on the MPC500. I've been using a Boss BR900 multitracker to record my singing and playing, and it works great, but I'd kind of like to try making beats for my songs on the MPC500. The BR900 has a drum machine, but it's a pain to program and sounds kinda stupid, I was thinking I could run my guitar into the Line ins on the MPC500 and hit record-right?. Sorry if this is a stupid question- I just wanted to make sure. Also I'd like to hear if anyone has any examples.

Basically I just want to know if the MPC500 can function as a multitrack recorder- then I would ony need the MPC500 to record vocals, guitar, bass, and beats.

trumental on my page uses my guitar playing (and my bass and sampled guitar. Mine and the sample sound exactly the same, when it drops out, that's just me). All of them except for the Rabbit Hole one use instruments.

Run your guitar like you normally would. Amps, effects, mixing board, whatever, and then, yes, into input. Record it (you can have sequences playing while you record so you can play to drums), chop it, sequence it, etc...

good luck
