Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Hey, just recently got an mpc 500 as a present and not too sure how to hook it up to my cd or record player to sample the tunes i want (extrmemly basic i know but an help wit cables i need, are all cd players compatible etc, would be greatly appreciated in helpin me get started) :)

Hey dude,

Most CDplayers and decks have Phono outs, all you need to do is get a double phono to double jack cable. Then put the Jack ends into your MPC in the record inputs. Then Press (mode) record select stereo and then do it.

Then to record get the cd ready at the bit you wanna sample then pause it. Press do it again on MPC and then unpause when uve recorded the bit you want press do it angain and you'll be able to save it to a pad.

If you dont have phono outs on your cd/record player you could do it from a headphone output just use jack cable and insert it into Left rec input. Then do same thing to record but selct mono (L) on the rec opttion then record.
