I thought I had saved a copy of 1.13 somewhere but now I cant find it. It did do at least one thing that I liked better by letting you listen to longer previews from the cf card.
I did find a link to 1.30 on the dutch (I think) Akai site, but its the same as 1.31 just with a few missed bugs that they corrected a few days later.

Interesting.
When I got my 500 it was already at 1.13. Thats the oldest one I've used.
I did notice that the new one although more stable did seem to lose some small functions.
For instance, I could have swore that I was able to erase the internal factory sounds on 1.13 so that they wouldn't autoload when powering up with the cf ejected. But I cant seem to do it now on 1.31.

You already got that. Just place the same sample on two pads, out bandpass on one and assign it to the slider and bang those pads at the same time. (i know it was for LOL's
