Memory Problem

Hello.

My MPC has started acting up...

When I switch it on it begins a SODIMM test and then says Memory Problem Please Check Memory...

But I can get into any of the menus!

Any ideas???

take the battery cover off, carefully take out the memory card , when i say carefulyl i really mean it, the arms that hold the memory in are like eggshells, so be extra gentle with them.

once you took the memory out you want to make sure the connections are clean and free from dust, then gently put the memory back in, again taking extra special care.

Then put the cover back on, hold the erase/undo button as you power up (this resets the machien to default) and you may get a memory check then also, and hopefully that will sovle your problem.

If you still get problems, take out and leave out the memory stick, its bad.

Not sure I have a memory card in there Ive not upgraded the ram or anything, it is just as it comes. Or is there something Im not seeing!?

Just started doing this, could maybe be a virus spread from my computer? Had a few probs with them recently...

Any ideas greatly appeciated

If I Upgrade will it just load from the new memory and this might fix the problem?
