Panning in Step Edit?

Quick question:

Is there any way to change the panning of a sample in Step Edit?

For example, I've done a roll of toms, and wish to alternate the panning from left to right... How can I do this in Step Edit? Or any other method? Thanks

EDIT: I have used the Tremolo effect on the toms to achieve to panning, but is there another way?

I would experiment with the autopan in the effect section.
Im not sure if you can change the settings in step mode but you can change the setting in the effect mode.

yeah.. but it doesnt give you that much control, it is sort of random to an extent. say i wanted my toms to be panned like this

Like EXACTLY? the only way I can think would be to assign a tom sample to a different pad in the program and change its pan settings under the program mode... then record the tom roll, and change the samples in step edit... but im sure there must be a better way?

What you could do is apply the same tom sound but to different pads and with different pan settings... just a thought

anyways its an option but not a really good one, considering the 500 has only 48 pad assignments... most of mine are used up. i dont have enough spare ones to be giving up to differently panned toms feel me! I feel if they had a panning option in step edit, similar to how you can change volume... that would make things ALOT easier

We need 'Velocity>Pan' in the next OS update!
