There's a TimeStretch Conversion Sheet on page 3 of this forum, I couldn't paste it but its there.

Also when you've got the correct BPM of a sample, set that as the Origin and go to New to adjust the BPM to your liking to timestretch it.

Mother-fudger!!! thats how you do it!! Dude you just saved me an arseload of pain. I got confused reading the manual and figured out my own way, which is clearly twice as difficult lol.

damn!! whats with all the codes??? its pretty easy, like they said set the tempo, then set the tempo you want it to be,, it took me a while to figure it out too,,, nice c-section u got a 500, how you liking it?? now you can make beats anywhere...

what I have an issue with is finding out the tempo in the first place -_-

sometimes I chop exactly 1 bar (4 measures) and mess with the tempo in ProTools 'till it matches up with 1 bar but I bet that's not exactly accurate.

@Tr1pl36ix, what I do is loop the sample in the sequencer and during the Overdub, I adjust the BPM of the metronome click til the ticks are in sync with the sample perfectly. And BAM! Your origin is born.

hmmm good stuff Ill Green. I might try that, the only thing is I really don't do sample editing/choppin in my 500. I usually do it in Pro Tools since it's much easier in many ways. But I like that idea of matchin the metronome to the sample.

ohh I know, I could do the same thing with a click track in Pro Tools. :P Good lookin out! :D
