...hi there..

is there any chance to record into the mpc 500 while a sequence is running?
or at least, can you monitor the input while a sequence is running...?

Yeah it can be done.

During record, just hit play. But it won't sample the sequence and the external signal at the sametime. Akai really slacked on that feature.

Maybe I read the OP wrong, but we do both agree that there is no Input Thru outside of Record mode, which I thought is what the OP was asking about.

Oh yeah, no doubt. Thats why I said Akai slacked. That Input trick I posted seems psuedo to me compared to Roland or Korg's Audio-In features. :mrgreen:

Yeah, the new OS update is definitely worth it... 1.31 I think.

I'd like to see a few more features/workflow enhancements, but I'm certainly not holding my breath for any further updates. We can all at least be happy that they fixed most of the storage bugs. That was some nasty stuff.
