Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Hey all

Quick question, i don't own a 500 yet, but i will soon. I have read the manual and watched all the

videos i can, but there are still some things that i am not clear on.

can you play a drum pattern on the pads, and have each pad/sound recorded to it's own track?. I.e pad

1, kick to track 1, pad 2, snare to track 2, pad 3 hat, to track 3, etc. Or can you only record the

sounds one at a time. i.e record the kick pattern 1st to track 1, than have to stop and change to the next track to record the snare etc.

Cheers

Everything to trk1.
Separate samples to their tracks later on.

Single sample to a single track.
Choose next track and record next sample.

Damm thas a bit of a pisser. How easy is it to separate each sound to its own track?. Is it just a case of copy pad2 paste to track-X copy pad 3 paste to track-X?....

Also is there any other way to scroll through sounds other than the scroll wheel? mabey the step/edit buttons or one of the others buttons?

Thanks for the reply(s)

Cheers
