wtf? mpc500 acted weird, and failed to save.

I was just working on a beat and my 500 started acting up. I would record the kick's, and then when I'd go back to play them, there was nothing there. Same with the hi-hats, and snares. Then, when something would finally record, something else would be missing. I thought it was just that I had left my MPC on for too long, it'd been on all day, and so i saved everything. I saved the whole project, which is how I always do it. Then, when it's done saving, I turn it off. When I turn it back on, barely anything was there. There was one program, and that's it. I had saved at least 4 times since then, and nothing except for something I made like 3 hours ago was there. WTF! I'm so mad right now. Anybody know what went wrong?

Did you check track mute? I've made that mistake more than a few times.

yeah i checked it. and now i just found all the files, I accidentally saved them in one of the samples folders, but when i tried to open it it said SYSTEM ERROR !! and when i try to load anything individually it says SYSTEM ERROR !!


*sigh*...

Try hooking your MPC to the computer, take off all the samples. Then restart your MPC and load only the ones you lost.

yeah thats what im doing now, but still every program and sequence file brings up the SYSTEM ERROR message. i started starting over,
