Hi to everyone!

I know that there is allways people asking about the RAM expancion, but I have a question and would like your comments:

I just installed the EXM128 RAM expancion on my mpc500, but when I turned on, it did not show the message "128 ram installed"..

Also did not show the message of 16mb ok ram..

When I press the button "status" its say: WAV 97%, SEQ 97%, with the sounds and original sequences preloaded (its a new mpc500..) I think that the original values of WAV and SEQ before the instalation was way below of 97% in WAV and SEQ (but i dont remenber)..

How its the best way to check if the RAM chip its installed correctly??

Thanks to all !!! and hi from Caracas Venezuela!!

Did you follow the broken-english instructions on how to install the RAM?

Take a towel and fold it 4 times then lay the 500 face down. Look at the pins, then like a jigsaw, lay the RAM in. Gently push it in till you hear a clicking sound. Then before you turn it on, HOLD the shift key and then switch on the 500 while holding the shift key and viola. :D

I repeat the turning on hold shift button procedure and it apear on the screen 128 megabytes (very fast) so I guess that the chip was installed correctly.. However, it never give me the message "128 MB RAM Installed" the first time that i turned on after installation..

Thanks!
