how long will mpc.5k last on batteries?

anyone know?

i might be getting a job up in the bronx, and i live in bk, about an hour and 40 minute commute too much time... was thinking maybe I could work on the mpc on the way up there, judging by it's small size. but how long does hte battery last normally? think it can last 2-4 hours? i'd def. get some rechargable batteries for this.

my laptop's probably a better solution, but I dont really want to whip out a macbook goin thru bx. the mpc is at least only bour 350 used, rather not lose a 1400 laptop. that and carrying around a controller with the laptop just doesn't seem viable, or fun at all...

well anyone with some knowledge let me know:-)

maybe I'll end up liking the mpc if i'm forced to use it in the subterranean layers and can't do mroe fun things.

5k doesn't run on batteries though.

And if I may add, thats using decent batteries. Don't cheap out on the batteries.

after been **** arond with the mpc a bit, i learned my head around it more, and it's not that bad a machine. soudn quality isn't the best, but that should b expected for akai's post 3k:o

I just wish that it had some good effects. the effects on the 500 are **** horrid. so were the 1k's effects...

FX on 500, 1000 and 2500 are the same.
They're not great, I agree but u can get some nice (again, not great) results with them if u use them wisely.

Yo Lamp, this is the first time I see u're not being...uh...on point.

Best bet is those AA lithium batteries. I tried them without the backlight during a shut down at my job and I would say it lasted the whole 8 hr shift non-stop and when I got home to continue the beat, it still was ticking. The next day it worked for a little while but it became dizzy and fainted.

i lost some data (aka a song) when my batteries died while saving a work of an hour or so.
so be careful.

I get a good 5-6 hours out of rechargeable batteries... but when they start to wear out, they go fast. You need to be quick or save often when they start to get low. Nice to be able to recharge them instead of chucking them.
