Big issue with MPC 500 CF CARD RAM extension

Hi all,

I have a problem with my mpc 500. I recently installed a 128mb extension RAM. The problem that i face now is that the CF Card does not appear on the computer's deskop but the usb section says "USB connected" on the mpc . Moreover i cannot format the CF card from the mpc as when i go to the menu, the "do it" button does not respond for this particular request, but is fine for everything else, so i cannot format it from the mpc. It seems thus that the card is not read by the mpc 500???
I really dont know what to do.

Check to ensure the card is in correctly (all the way in).

Also see if any of the pins inside the MPC are bent (the pins that connect the CF).

If those things are good you may have a corrupt CF card.

It is also possible that the specific CF card that you have is incompatible with the MPC 500 or may be corrupted. Don't discount either possibility.

Thx, now i think the problem might come from the fact that the ejction arm for the CF card is broken and thus all the panel (top steel panel) has moved so that the part that moves to "push" the CF card is stuck and i therefore cannot put the card all the way in. I will try to unstuck it. Are there any tutorials to show me how to access the ejection platform? Video prefreered...
