Some help with my MPC 500

Hey there!

I love music more than I love anything else in my life, but most of all I love hip hop, not just as a music, but also as a culture. I have been around people who were living hip hop lifestyle for long time, and always wanted to make bits. Never had money to buy much equipment, but since I moved to London I finally got some money. I just bought MPC 500, and I don't really know how to use it too much. Now I read all the manuals, and I do read all the post, but I feel more comfortable when someone shows me literally how to do things. You'd probably get an impression that I'm a lazy fu*k but I'm not. It's just the way my brain works. So if anyone lives in London and ever has any spare time, it'd be nice, to get together and chat, and just learn some new things.

I watched this guy's tutorials... I bought my MPC 500 second hand and it did not come with a manual and I did not feel like reading a .pdf file from my computer, so I watched all his tutorials, starting even from the first boring "Introduction" so as to not miss any info. I learned how to make a beat, as opposed to how to use an MPC, and from repetition and experimentation, I quickly learned how to USE an MPC. I'm still learning but his video helped a lot. Watch all of them... I had to commit a whole day to doing it (watching the videos, gather some samples, and test), but it was a good day of learning.
