"Unknown File Format!!!" Please help!

Hi Guys,

Lately everytime I sample, make a program and then save it, when I turn the mpc back on or try load it again, it just says "Unknown File Format" and creates a **New Program** program with nothing in it? It's extremely frustrating, I keep losing my work, has anyone experience this before or think they know what it is? I'm at the point where I'm tempted to just buy an mpc1000 or higher, I've had enough of constantly having to do things again and again.

#1 Ensure your samples are in 16bit 44k and not 24bit. If you are recording directly in to the MPC this is automatic. If you are using "construction kits" many of them are in 24bit and you may need to convert them. A good free program for this is Audacity although it only converts one sample at a time which can be time consuming if you want to convert a lot. There are other programs that do multiple samples. Google is your friend.

#2 When you save, ONLY "Save Entire Project" . Always RENAME your projects in different files otherwise you may write over a project you want to keep.
