Memory upload fault

I purchased memory that i thought was sufficient after reading the memory thread on this site, but its resulting in the mpc not starting up when the memory's in, the following link is what i've tried. can anybody point me in the right direction please?

just to cover some basics, did you make sure it's all the way in the mpc's slot?
also, do you have the chance to try that memory in a laptop, just to make sure it works.
i don't really know if that exact brand works with the mpc, so i can't really answer that....

hi thanks for the response and sorry for the late reply, i had installed original ram correctly and have just purchased and received today the following:

Kingston 256mb PC133 SDRAM SoDimm Laptop Memory / RAM

The mpc wouldn't load with this ram either, i have read that this ram is compatible in the forums, however the ram that i got was high density and i'm now wondering if its supposed to be low.

Any idea?

Nm, I typed in that I thought that the MPC 500 uses only 128mb, but only when halved by the MPC itself from the ramstick. I originally got my stick from a local computer shop and the RAM did not work. I went back in, told them that the stick didn't work, they gave me another to try, and it worked...
