samples won't load.

so i have this problem where i have 11 samples , only 2 will load to the pads they were all chopped and saved in the same program i can preview them when i am loading them it's when i assign them they act as if they were assigned but when i start to play them in sequence mode only two actually work the other ones turn into faint 1 second coughs. anyone had this problem.
when i say cough i mean it starts to play but after one second cuts off.
this is the only time this has ever happened. i thought it might be related to weird file names . but it's not so would you suggest re saving these wav files before importing, or could it be something else?
all my other wav files work just fine and when i save on cool edit it's saved @ 1411kpbs. (per other forums i saw that 44khz was the way to go! but all my other samples are saved that way as well and work just fine. these are 1-4 second clips as well.
i first saved them as Michael Berger bass intro.wav something to that extent thinking it was long files i changed it to mbbassintro. still nothing.

i like others wished i could be on here more communicating not just when i have problems.

now it's just these specific mp3 files because i can load all my other samples and drums and stuff.

somehow i fixed it and i don't know what i did.
thanks for looking into this, not sure how i fixed it i just started sampling some movies on the interwebz!
