Hi, I d like to know if it s possible to use an mpc 500 as a multichannel instrument. To play like 16 programs at the same time from a computer running cubase for example. the midi notes Recorded on the computer s programm?

you would have to set up 16 tracks on the mpc to each run a different midi channel. then you would have to sequence them separately. You can only play live the midi channel that the track you are on is assigned to. once you sequence all the tracks hit play and it should play them all back, or you can sample each track back into the mp.

Hi ben thanks for your answer. Now do you know if it is possible to do it (multichannel live play) with any other mpc? 1000 for example?

The 500 is not multitimbral. So you cannot sequence 16 different tracks on the computer, only on the internal sequencer to the 500.

The MPC 1k with JJOS2XL2.0 just had multi-timbral features added to the beta. Keep an eye out on the 1k/2.5k with JJOS2XL2.0 if this is something you must have.
